Spinal surgery is a surgical procedure that joins two or more vertebrae into a single structure. The aim is to stop the movement between the two bones and prevent back pain. Once merged, they no longer move as before. This prevents nearby nerves, ligaments, and muscles from being stretched which may have caused discomfort.
